Kids, Cops and Computers

Last week Flow Photo was proud to be associated with the Merry Go Round Children's Foundation in support of Kids, Cops and Computers. What an awesome cause! Kids, Cops and Computers raises funds to supply under privileged kids with computers to help them succeed in a digital world. The kids are then connected to a police officer as an "eBuddy" or mentor with whom they communicate on a regular basis.  This interaction fosters friendship, mutual respect and learning opportunities for both police and kids.

The event was extremely well attended by a plethora of sports stars, TV personalities, kids and generous donators. The attendees included: Brian Burke, Dion Phaneuf, Colton Orr, Tyler Bozak and Viktor Stalberg as well as Arlene Dickinson and Kevin O'Leary from the Dragon's Den. We had a roaming photographer onsite to catch all the action as well as a photo station for those that wished to have their photo taken with the Stanley Cup, Grey Cup, Vince Lombardi Trophy, Blue Jays World Series Trophy and the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy!

Watercan Walk for Water

The Snapshot Photobooth helped raise funds at the Aveda/Civello Watercan Walk for Water fundraiser at Scruffy Murphy's this past Sunday.

A very worthy cause, WaterCan is a leading Canadian charity dedicated to fighting global poverty by helping the world’s poorest people gain access to clean water, basic sanitation and hygiene education. Scruffy's was full of wonderful people enjoying the live music and bidding on excellent silent auction items and of course enjoying the Snapshot Photobooth.

SmartBride fundraiser for Women Moving Women

SmartBride Boutique a free local listing site connecting brides past and present celebrated their website launch with an awesome fund raising party at the Steam Whistle Brewery.

The event raised awareness and funds for Women Moving Women a national movement created by the Canadian Women’s Foundation to change the face of poverty in Canada. The premise is simple: 2500 women donating $2500 to move 2500 women out of poverty.

DJ Fields from Pandor spun a decidedly 80's mix to a spectacular crowd that gathered and nibbled on awesome hors d'oeuvres served up by Amazing Food. Beauty Markz provided guests with on site glam services while Mary Kay provided personalized skin care solutions.

The Snapshot Photobooth was a huge hit with this great urban crowd. All the images can be viewed and downloaded from this gallery:

Habitat for Humanity - Philanthroparty - Cement Mixer

The Philanthroparty Cement Mixer was held at The Drake Hotel this past Tuesday September 23, 2008. All proceeds from the nights event go to benefit Habitat for Humanity a very worthy cause. This is the second year that Flow Photo and the Snapshot Photobooth have participated in this event. And what an event!

The evening was hosted by the beautiful and talented Monika Schnarre. She loved posing in the Snapshot Photobooth and demonstrated to everyone how to pose like a supermodel. The evening was a great success and everyone had a blast while raising funds for Habitat for Humanity. Click here to see all the images from the Cement Mixer.
